Value Statements

Biblically based: God’s Word is our guide, authority and conscience in everything.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Spiritual growth: We each aspire to walk with Christ and grow in our personal relationship with Him.

  • Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
  • 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

Worship: We engage in prayerful, relevant, innovative, applicable Biblical teaching and joyful music.

  • Psalm 100:1-3a, 5a Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God… give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever.

Service and Outreach: Empowered by Jesus, we use our gifts to support and serve our church and our neighbors, and effectively bring the message of the gospel to the people in our community.

  • Matthew 28: 19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
  • Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
  • 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in various forms.

Grace: As we acknowledge and continually benefit from God’s grace, we eagerly extend this grace to others.

  • Colossians 3:12-13 Therefore as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you have a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Welcoming: We are intentional and mindful of welcoming all people. We encourage people to come as you are.

  • Romans 15:7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
  • Matthew 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in
